The Evaluative Mindset - tools and practices for evaluation

This paper will look at what positive evaluation can look like and how it could be introduced into teaching and learning. It draws on reading and research undertaken for an educational sabbatical, capturing voices from external organisations as well as from staff and students in the Media School, LCC. Staff are already using a range of different approaches to teaching and learning: evaluation is a way to recognise, value and share that knowledge effectively. This session looks at ways to develop evaluative practices that are iterative, support experimentation and are integrated into teaching in partnership with students.
