The danger of the superpower rhetoric: the lived experience of actually autistic people at UAL

We’re a group of autistic people and allies who want to support others to develop their understanding of autism. Growing tired of prevailing narratives from ‘autism is a superpower’ to ‘you don't look autistic’, we’re here to share our experiences of being autistic and/or supporting autistic people using the social model of disability.

If you want to challenge your assumptions, get comfortable with terminology and gain insight into autistic culture, join us! The session will empower you to support autistic colleagues and students with compassion. And of course, we’d love to connect with any of our neurokin out there 👋
