2015 call for workshop/paper proposals

This year the Centre for Learning and Teaching Art and Design’s Learning and Teaching Day theme Creative Teaching will explore the ways we can take risks and innovate to improve learning and teaching at UAL. The conference will explore creative approaches to teaching and supporting learning across our disciplines, and across our diverse spaces that include workshops, lecture halls, libraries and studios.

Colleagues are invited to submit outline proposals for workshops, papers, posters or lightening talks. All proposals should be submitted using the LaTD 2015 proposal form.

This year we particularly welcome contributions that address:

  • Teaching creatively
  • Innovation in teaching
  • Applying creative teaching approaches across the diverse disciplines at UAL
  • Teaching creativity
  • Cross disciplinary creative teaching partnerships
  • Taking risks to enhance learning and teaching
  • New approaches to teaching that support today’s contexts
  • Creative workshop approaches
  • Creative use of resources/IT/collections to support student learning

The proposals will be peer reviewed against the following three criteria:

  • Engagement with the conference theme
  • Potential for participation and engagement as part of proposed session
  • Relevance to wider UAL community

Each submission should include:

  • Name/s of contributor
  • An abstract (maximum 300 words)
  • A description of the type of session (paper/workshop/poster/lightning talk)

If you would like an informal discussion about your proposal prior to submission please email Susan Orr.
