Events as Praxis

  • Katrine Hjelde: Course Leader Graduate Diploma Fine Art , Chelsea
On a Fine Art Course, the student exhibition is often the central way to share practice.
We have been interested to explore how practice can be further developed and shared collectively as a joint enterprise.

KEY Events as discursive collective events on the Fine Art Programme at Chelsea provide an opportunity for students to collectively decide 'what is KEY' . Discursive events like these do not replace exhibitions or material practice but allows for an expansion of practice towards forms of shared Praxis, that promote an interplay between research and knowledge exchange for staff and students.
