Is another university possible? The pandemic, race, technology and the crisis of the neoliberal university

This session discusses a recent article that I wrote 'The pandemic, race and the crisis of the neoliberal university: Study notes from a lockdown London'. The aim of the session is to explore the global neoliberal UK university in the contemporary time of the pandemic, market economics, digital communications and race. By articulating these aspects together the session examines how the pandemic crisis intensifies the logics of the racial, capitalist, digital university with further exploitation of staff, students and HE education, as well as opening up possibilities for alternative fugitive modes of (black) study and (decolonial) knowledge and social justice.
