Mediation, flexibility and belonging: Co-designing effective approaches to asynchronous learning

Online, distance learning requires new and creative approaches to how we design and deliver our teaching. We must explore new, flexible, engaging teaching approaches, including maximising asynchronous teaching opportunities, and understand how we can support and nurture community and a sense of belonging in the online environment.

This session will offer an overview of existing research in the field as well as discussing the outcomes of a recent action research project undertaken by UAL Online together with colleagues from across the institution to understand just how we might embrace these and other new approaches to delivering online teaching and learning.
