Fusing frontiers: Coding the printed page

Practice based research stemming from a request to design a publication for LCC’s 2019/20 Public Programme entitled Our Algorithmic Lives. This led to experimentation with coding languages in order to create new ways of utilising digital print technologies as a means of creating magazine covers. This experimentation expanded into the development of software (launches summer 2022) with a leading digital print technology company. In blurring the boundaries between coding, digital and print processes it poses exciting opportunities for working cross-discipline within a creative education settings as well as the creative industries.
